Question:
where can i get non-prescription colored contacts? does anyone know? i'd
greatly appreciate some help with this!
Answer:
You need to be fitted for contact lenses. Since you want
non-prescription, I'm assuming that you haven't already been fitted.
If they're too large, they'll catch on your eyelids and can fall out,
and generally are a nuisance. I'm not sure if they cause damage. If
they're too small, they *can* cause major damage to your eyes. So I
say, go to an optometrist for contacts, especially if you're planning
to wear these daily, and not just for few hours on special occasions.
Though you don't have to buy the lenses from an optometrist. Set up a
contact lens exam, and let them know that you just want to be fitted
for non-prescription theatrical lenses. It'll still cost the same as
a full exam, but it's better to get a proper fit than risk screwing up
your eyes. They'll also teach you how to handle the lenses and take
care of them. Improper care is one the main causes of infection, etc.
So whatever company you order your lenses from, make sure that they
require fitting information.
