Question:
Does anyone know why Oakley Eye Jacket Full Metal sunglasses are called
"full metal", and are more expensive than regular eye jackets when they
have no metal on them at all, and appear to be identical to regular eye
jackets.They'rejust made of plastic.
It says on the Oakley web site (http://www.oakley.com/product/jackets/)
that they are "encased in the security of metal." but it's ALL LIES !!!
This has got to be the biggest rip-off of all time
Answer:
In my opinion the Eye Jackets are poor, inferior glasses. I actually
hold this opinion of all Oakleys- I have owned 7 pair ranging from Eye
Jackets, Blades, Razor and Mumbo and ALL, I repeat ALL broke within 1
years use.
In regards to the Eye Jackets you will get to wear them for 5-8 months
before the arm will break at the thin spot. It has happend to me on 3
different pair; this also has happened to all my friends. Yea, they
look cool, but if you go with another manufacture you will actually
get to enjoy them (for the record I recommend Scott's).
Oakley used to be good about warranty of their glasses, but their
policy has changed in the past 4-5 years, so they lost me as a
customer as a result.
