Question:
I have an online eye chart available that I could e-mail anyone whose
having questions about their distance vision. I was in a situation like
this a few months ago before i finally got an eye test and later my first
pair of glasses. So if you want to test your distance vision drop me an
e-mail and i'll send you an eye chart as soon as i can, i know espically
with teenagers(like myself) the possibility of getting glasses is a major
change in a persons life, but i've had no drawbacks in my glasses except
that now i can see clear. Do you Online Vision Test?
Answer:
I
wish I'd had it when my son was experiencing eye problems at 6 months.
He had a lazy eye and crossed eyes (vertical and horizontal crossing),
plus a slight astigmatism. While this was very obvious to us as his
parents, the pediatrician just said "His eyes are far apart in his head,
so it looks like a fake cross to me." She seemed very hesitant to make
the referral, but I insisted, since my mother had insisted that I do so
(she saw it in pictures, asked me a few questions, and advised me to be a
little more assertive about it).
Mike's been seeing the opthalmologist since then and these problems have
been clearing up with prayer, patching, and glasses. Mike's 4 and he
enjoys being able to see clearly up close with the glasses. (With crossed
eyes, he couldn't see up close very well.) The sports band was an added
plus - it's colorful and he likes that. His treatment has been wonderful
because he's grown to really like the pediatric opthalmologist (we also
found a better pediatrician).
