Question:
I guess you all know me by now,I've had a strange problem with my right
eye this afternoon. I was at the store in line for medicine (what else)
and my right eye nerve was uncontrollable with double vision for about
45 seconds, has anyone ever had this? I did have a little family stress
this morning,I guess that could have done it but I'd like to hear from
you all my friends who I have learned so much from. I'm due for a
possible med change on may 9th right now I've been on .1mg.Synthroid for
5 weeks and I am starting to get back some energy and enthusiasm for
doing things. So if someone could reply thank you. Jean
Answer:
Although I did experience sudden shifts in my eye muscles resulting in
having to adjust my press on prism, back before stabismus surgery, the
double vision from TED, in general, occurs as the disease progresses, with
the swollen muscles causing the eyes to lose the ability to work together,
with a fibrotic muscle pointing one or both of them off the right course.
Visual changes are nothing to mess around with, and if the problem reoccurs,
you should get it checked out. Hopefully, your stress will disappear along
with the double vision!
