Question:
How is Vintage Eye Glasses?
Answer:
I am about to embark on a new glasses quest...my wonderful, beautiful
vintage rhinestone cat eye glasses are getting old (in more ways than
one...I've been wearing them for at least 6 years). And, if anyone read my
"a wardrobe to match your personality" post you would know I am now
currently obsessed with the 1920's and 1930's.
So my question is...what eye glass style was popular back then?
I rarely see 20/30 era pictures with women wearing glasses (not fashionable
I suppose). The only thing I have seen is wire round glasses, which I will
not do again. I love black frames, so I'm leaning toward that in a style
consistent with the era. I'm going to look at new shops (verses the vintage
stores I usually would go to) because I need something that will last a long
time. I have contacts so I can pull off the no glasses look, but I am lazy
and hate to put the dang things in.
